Sons of the American Legion – Monthly Pancake Breakfast

The Sons of the American Legion (S.A.L.) are holding their monthly pancake breakfast which is open to the public on Saturday, July 21st from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the American Legion Hall 122 West Palatine Road in Palatine to raise funds for Legion Family Charities.

The community is invited to join us for our monthly pancake breakfast which we hold on the third Saturday of the month. This month we will be honoring nurses and nursing students,” said Garrett McNally, Commander of the S.A.L. “We will be holding our breakfast upstairs in our hall. The breakfast costs $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for children between 6 and 12 years old and children under 5 years old are free. All nurses and nursing students are free.”

The S.A.L. will be serving “all you can eat” pancakes and French toast. With the pancakes and French toast, the S.A.L. will serve ham, bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit, orange juice, coffee and milk.

The Sons of the American Legion was created in 1932 as an organization within the American Legion. The S.A.L. is made up of boys and men of all ages whose parents or grandparent served in the United States military and became eligible for membership in the American Legion. There are currently 300,000 members of the S.A.L. in this country and abroad.
