Paint the Town Green

In the month of March everyone is a little Irish. Here is a listing of festivals and parades that will allow you to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day starting on March 11th and end on March 17th. So don your green and get ready to party! We will keep you posted as more details are finalized for these and other events.


Live Theater on the Line

Take the train to enjoy a live theatrical performance while helping to support the arts. Ballet, musical acts, family entertainment, comedy, original plays and old favorites, you can find it all. The venues are as varied as the acts and many are housed in beautiful historic building within minutes of a Metra Station.

You don’t have to be Irish to enjoy this pub crawl. We have included five Irish pubs in five different towns. Pick where you want to stop and end, then go out and have some ‘craic.” (an Irish term for fun or good time). If you try all five we would like to hear about your favorites.


Woodstock/Crystal Lake Bar Crawl

This Bar crawl takes you to Woodstock and Crystal Lake to visit three bars all within minutes of the train station. Eat, drink, listen to music, and maybe even play a little shuffleboard along the way. Just don’t miss the last train!
