Palatine –

Hometown Fest – the 56th annual July 4th celebration from July 3rd through July 7th with tons of bands, local eateries, carnival, a special family day and fireworks on the 5th, a parade on the 6th and much more. Held in Community Park on Palatine Road and Northwest Highway. More info go to


Arlington HeightsFrontier Days, with great entertainment, food, carnival, family activities and more, from July 3rd through 7th. Shuttle buses are provided to the event from the downtown parking garages, about 3 blocks from the Arlington Heights Metra station. For more info go to

Mount Prospect – The 75th Annual Mount Prospect Lions Club Festival will run from July 3rd through July 7th at Melas Park located at Busse and Central Roads. The festival will feature Carnival Rides, Food Court, Beer Garden, Daily Raffles and Musical Entertainment. A Family Day will be on Sunday, July 7th with many children’s games and other activities.

Des Plaines – Friday to Sunday, July 19-21st, 2012- Des Plaines Summer Fling with 3 days of Music, Food & Fun cuisine from local restaurants, an impressive music lineup, activities for kids, arts & crafts at the “Pearson Street Art Fair,” and more

Jefferson Park – Jeff Fest, Arts and Music Festival – Friday 26th to Sunday, July 28th, Noon – 10:00p.m.
One of Chicago’s most highly anticipated music festivals of the summer – with a cutting edge line-up showcasing Chicago talent along with national acts. Enjoy the quintessential summer festival with great beer –great music, and a great location.
The fest is held in Jefferson Memorial Park, a wide open comfortable space filled with activities and performers to appeal to every age group.
