Arlington Park is a Horse Racing Course located in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Described as “the most beautiful track in America”, Arlington began Thoroughbred racing on October 13, 1927. Merging with Churchill Downs Incorporated in 2000. Arlington Park continues to be a leader in Thoroughbred horse racing. What information might your clientele find surprising, other than how beautiful the grounds are?
Arlington Park is about more than just Races; Friday’s Miller Lite Party in the Park events will offer guests three different experiences throughout the season extending later into the night. On Saturdays in the summertime, we have Miller Lite Saturday Summer Bash featuring the amazing sounds of local cover bands performing on the main band stage. You can experience the thrills of Thoroughbred racing, live music and great food and beverage specials on the gorgeous grounds of Arlington Park. Also, Sunday Family Days at Arlington Park are now bigger and better than ever with the addition of the new Junior Jockey Zone including FREE pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, and hands on activities.
Does the Arlington Park offer any additional services, classes, seminars, etc.?
We offer handicapping Seminars: During the 2012 live meet at Arlington Park, our Handicapping Seminar Series will feature nationally prominent racing analysts such as the Daily Herald’s Joe Kristufek and M. Scott McMannis, who’s daily Arlington selections appear on the Arlington Park website. Each seminar will breakdown a selection of the day’s races, provide some basic handicapping education, and reveal some wagering strategies. 2012 schedule to be announced.
Night School: Night School lessons are offered FREE every Tuesday night to any racing fan who wants to learn more about the sport. The 40-week season runs through Nov. 13 with 90-minute sessions taking place from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Central time each week. Regular panelists will include Horse Player NOW’s Joe Kristufek, Jeremy Plonk and Caton Bredar, and Churchill Downs’ analyst Jill Byrne. Topical experts will be brought in weekly to share their expertise.

Arlington has a Metra Commuter Railway station on site with service between downtown Chicago and Harvard. The Union Pacific/Northwest Train Line operates on a regular schedule Sunday-Saturday. From the South:
(or Southeast, including O’Hare) Take the Northwest Tollway (I-90 West toward Rockford), and exit at Route 53 North. Take 53 for 2 miles. Exit at Euclid Avenue East. Park entrance is 2 blocks down on the left.
