Friday, July 6th, 2012 –The 8th Annual “Uncork Barrington”:
What a better way to spend a Friday night than sampling wine & food, all to benefit local charities*. Enjoy this fun-filled and educational experience in an elegant venue. Housed in a series of white tents, Uncork Barrington takes place amidst beautiful plants and colorful decorations, with live jazz music playing and the sun setting in the background. And this year they have added a small art fair as well.
Uncork Barrington is a fun evening that promises you the opportunity to taste and purchase a selection of 50 fabulous wines from all around the world and to enjoy flavorful foods from local restaurants to complement the wines. “Uncork” has become a favorite for Barrington residents and wine lovers from all over the Chicago metropolitan area.
This event is Hosted by the Barrington Village Association and is held in the north commuter parking lot in downtown Barrington at the corners of East Station and Spring Streets, from 6:00 to 10p.m. Admission is $45.00 purchased in advance; $50 at the gate and is your “passport” to sample in all the wine regions at Uncork, a souvenir wine glass, plus generous samplings of delectable cuisine chosen and prepared by local culinary experts. Water, coffee and soft drinks will also be available.
