This bar crawl starts in Woodstock at DC Cobbs. We suggest arriving early and grabbing a bite to eat before heading out for the evening. DC Cobbs is housed in a historic building with brick walls and a tin ceiling. The booths are inviting, but don’t get too comfortable, we have more planned for you. To get to DC Cobbs from the Woodstock Metra Station, head west on West Church Street, left on Main Street. The bar will be on your left.
The next stop will be Odd Fellows at the Waverly, located just south of DC Cobbs. This bar features an antique bar from Manhattan, a twenty two foot shuffleboard, and a barrel full of peanuts. Enjoy the music which can range from acoustic to karaoke. They also offer a specialty house drink served in a 32 oz. mason jar. Have fun, but unless you are from Woodstock watch the time, because Woodstock’s last train out of town is the 9:48. (always check with Metra as train schedules may change)
Get back on board for your final destination in Crystal Lake. Georgio’s Chicago Pizzeria and Pub is located across from the train station. In the bar area, you can enjoy the big screen plasma TV’s and occasional live music. This bar always draw a crowd. Check out their daily drink specials.
Please note for all multiple stop outings
If you are making a stop-over on a week day, inform the conductor when you hand them your ticket and they will make a notation to that effect when they punch your ticket. On the weekend this is unnecessary if you are riding on a weekend pass, as it is good for as much Saturday and Sunday travel as you can fit in.
