Mount Prospect Progressive Dinner

Here is a chance to check out three different restaurants in downtown Mount Prospect, all within a short walk from the Metra Station.

One of Sakura's Tea Rooms

Start your evening at Sakura, a traditional Japanese restaurant. We recommend sitting at the bar and ordering a flight of Sake that will pair well with Japanese cuisine such as  Sushi, Sashimi and Tempura. Ask for a recommendation from your server if you are not familiar with Japanese cuisine. Before leaving the restaurant you may want to check out the Japanese Tea Rooms that are available at no extra cost for your next trip back.

To get to Sakura from the Mount Prospect Metra Station head northwest on US 14 West and turn right on South Main Street.

Street and turn right on US 14.

Head over to Panzano’s Pizza, Pasta and More. Everything here is made from scratch and can be ordered in full or half portion sizes. This is great when you are sampling the fare at three different restaurants. Panzano’s is  family friendly. When the weather is nice, outside dining is available. Liquor offerings are limited to beer and wine.

To get to Panzano’s from Sakura head south on South Main.

Canta Napoli

The last stop for the evening is Canta Napoli Pizzeria. Although this place is probably best known for their wood fire pizza, you may want to end your evening with cappuccino and dessert. Canta Napoli has a full bar and great outdoor seating when the weather is nice.

To get to Canta Napoli from Panzano’s, head southeast on US 14 East, left on South Wilke Street, then right on West Busse Avenue.
