Bar Crawl in Edison Park

So many bars and so little time……… we found so many great bars, but have limited this post to four. All bars on our list are within minutes of the station. We have some Edison Park Bars on other crawls on our site such as the Irish Pub Crawl, make sure you check those out.

Start your crawl at the Snuggery. This pub has only been open since late 2010. You won’t miss a moment of your favorite sporting event as they have over 20 plasma TV’s.  The Snuggery has daily drink and food specials and this might be a good place to grab a bite to eat before heading out for the evening. The menu is quite extensive and offers wood oven pizza. If you are there on a Friday or Saturday there is a D.J. and dancing starting at 9 in the evening. Have fun and gather your group together before heading to next stop on our list. To get to the Snuggery from the Metra Station head northwest and you will see the Snuggery on the corner of North Olmstead Ave. and North Oshkosh Ave.

Snuggery, 6733 N. Olmstead, Chicago, IL 60631   773-631-8100

Edison Park Inn, 6715 N. Olmstead, Chicago, IL 60631 773-775-1404

The next stop on our list is the Edison Park lnn. This is fun local bar with friendly bartenders. Occasionally on the week-end there is live music. Check out the daily drink specials. The menu here features appetizers, salads, sandwiches and wood oven pizza. A unique feature of this bar is the eight lane bowling alley( To find out more about that check out the Bowling on the Line excursion on our site) Relax & have some fun before heading out to your next stop. To get to the Edison Park Inn head southwest on N. Olmstead Avenue.

The Mecca Supper Club is the only bar on this crawl that is not located on the same street as the train station. The minute you walk through the front door you will think you have crossed the border into our neighbors to the north. The “Rustic North-wood” atmosphere is complete with log cabin interior, mounted fish and an occasional animal head on the wall. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday night you will find Karaoke and Dancing from 10:30 to close.  The Mecca also has a complete menu and affordable drinks. Make your way back toward the Metra Station for the last bar on our crawl.

The Mecca Supper Club, 6666 N. Northwest Hwy., Chicago, IL 60631  773-775-1077

To get to the Mecca Supper Club head southeast on N. Oliphant Avenue and take the first left on North Oliphant Avenue, then the first right on North Northwest Highway.

Moretti's Ristorante & Pizzeria, 6727 N. Olmstead Avenue, Chicago IL 60631 773-631-1175

Moretti’s Ristorante and Pizzeria is located across from the station and anyone who has ever ridden the train has probably seen the outdoor beer garden. If the weather is nice it is a great place to gather with friends. Most days Moretti’s has drink specials. The menu features many American/Italian favorites. There are 40 large plasma TV’s so you won’t miss a minute of the game or hopefully your train back home.
