Are you looking for a great way to spend your weekend? Come to Woodstock and enjoy the Historic Woodstock Square. With an abundance of shops and places to eat.
The classes held at Lorraine’s Memories are for beginners and experienced scrapbookers alike. Pick a date for your getaway by first checking the schedule of classes and events. In addition to scrapbooking, classes are taught on stamping and other paper related crafts. Occasionally Lorraine’s will bring guest artists to lead the classes. This shop is housed in a historic building right on the square. From the Inn to Lorraine’s go east on Cass Street, and right on Benton Street.
After you schedule your class, book your lodging at the Town Square Inn. The Inn is located around the corner from Lorraine’s and minutes from the train. The rooms are charming, some overlook the Woodstock Square. The inn is located in an historic building in which all the rooms are located up a flight of stairs. From the Woodstock Metra Station to the Inn, head west on West Church Street, left on Main Street, and right on Cass Street. The door for the Inn is on your right.
While in Woodstock take time to wander around the square. There are shops, galleries, restaurants and theaters. For dinner check out D.C. Cobbs Bar & Entertainment. The restaurant was recently remodeled and is inviting with the tin ceiling, exposed brick walls and comfy booths. Dinning is casual and the food is fresh and made to order. While you are there check out the photos on the wall. This historic building has ties to Hollywood and the mob. (we will let you discover just what that is.) DC Cobbs is located on Main Street toward the train station.
